Wilder Memorial Library in Beautiful Weston, Vermont
After years of dreaming and planning, and months and months of construction, we are wrapping up the finishing touches on the library and are getting ready to move in! We can’t wait to welcome you into your community library.
Our last day in the Old Parish Church is Saturday, June 13th. We hope to re-open up on Lawrence Hill Road on Tuesday, July 7th. Please come visit us in the OPC one last time, and stock up on books!
While we focus on moving, all library programs and inter-library loans are paused. We have an incredible summer reading program, workshops, and events lined up for July and August, and we will tell you all about them soon.
Throughout the move we will be sharing updates and photos in a weekly newsletter and on our social media. Follow along the fun and get excited to come on in in July!
Do you have questions or ideas? Reach out to Faye at director@wildermemoriallibrary.org or call us at 802-379-3615.
Come visit us in the Old Parish Church one last time! Our last day will be Saturday, June 13th. We expect to be closed until July 7, so now’s your chance to stock up on books. (And, the more books you check out, the less we have to pack!) Nothing will be due until we reopen.
Faye and Chris will be at the library for normal hours until we close.
We hope to see you!

Are you excited about the library reopening? Excellent, us too! Can you help us get there by volunteering?
From June 15th to July 3rd, we will be packing, moving, unpacking, setting up, and decorating. There are lots of ways that you can help, from dropping off cardboard boxes and doing a run to the transfer station, to packing and unpacking, to sharing your favorite cookies or lemonade with the packers and unpackers. We have opportunities for people of all ages, skills, and abilities.
Right now, we’re scheduling volunteers to help us pack up the library at the Old Parish Church during the week of June 15th.You can learn more about those opportunities and sign up for a time slot by clicking here or the button below.
We will be adding more volunteer opportunities throughout the next couple of weeks – we’ll send out more emails as we add more dates and volunteer slots.
Have an idea of how you can help, but don’t see it listed? Reach out to Faye at director@wildermemoriallibrary.org.
Moving the community library truly takes the community. Thank you for your help!
Large Prints Books !
How does it work?
ABLE Library will lend a selection of 6 – 8 large print books to our Library at a given time. We will keep the books for a few weeks — during which time you may borrow them from our Library — and then return the books to ABLE Library and receive a new batch.
Do you have a favorite genre or author?
Please let us know, as we may be able to request specific books for you.
