In This Moment

Wilder Memorial Library shares the nation’s anger, sadness, frustration, and heartbreak over the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the epidemic of violent acts perpetrated against Blacks and people of color across our nation.  Many of us are grasping to make sense, to understand, to take action, and to educate ourselves for a brighter future.

While people around the world are marching against racism, they’re also reading about it. For this reason, we’ve created a brand new web page, Black Lives, Black Voices, with a list of books — available as audiobooks or downloadable books via Overdrive / Green Mountain Library Consortium (just use your library card to sign in) — as well as videos, podcasts, and articles, that we’ve curated for you – for all ages!

The Wilder Memorial Library has Great News for 2020!

Jessica Clapp – Library Director

The Board of Trustees of the Wilder Memorial Library is pleased to announce that Jessica Clapp has accepted the position of Director of the Library and that Christine Mix has accepted the newly-created position of Assistant Librarian. Most of you probably already know Jessica and Christine as they have been acting as co-interim library directors since December when Randall Szott departed to pursue his career as a state legislator from Barnard. The Board is delighted that the two have agreed to continue to work together for the benefit of the Library and our community. Both Jessica and Christine are honored to be accepting their positions.
