Wilder Memorial Library Welcomes New Director, Faye Conte Mack

The Board of Trustees of Wilder Memorial Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Faye Conte Mack as the new Director of Wilder Memorial Library, effective Immediately.
“The Library Board is thrilled to welcome Faye to the Library,” said Deborah Granquist, Chair of the Board of Trustees.

“Her experience, creativity and passion for caring and community will help us build on the Library’s long tradition as a place where people of all ages come together to learn, connect, and belong.

Faye brings a strong background in community leadership, program development, non-profit advancement and community-building. She has dedicated her career to strengthening communities through equitable access to resources, education, and connection.

Faye possesses a deep commitment to literacy, life-long learning and community engagement and believes in the power of libraries to transform lives.”

“I’m honored to join the Wilder Memorial Library and to serve this wonderful community,” said Faye.

“Libraries are truly where community meets—and I look forward to working with the staff, trustees, and entire community to continue making this library a welcoming and inspiring place for all.”

We are so pleased to help present the 6th annual Weston Pop-Up University this March! There is a great lineup of classes, all taught by your neighbors.
Most classes will be held in-person at ADA-accessible locations throughout Weston, and a few will be held online.
The classes are all free and open to anyone (just like our Library, you don’t have to live in Weston to participate!).
Registration opens February 13th – we can’t wait to see you at a class (or three!).

Large Prints Books are Here!

We are proud to announce that we have joined the ABLE Library system, which means we will have Large Print Books available to borrow.

How does it work?
ABLE Library will lend a selection of 6 – 8 large print books to our Library at a given time. We will keep the books for a few weeks — during which time you may borrow them from our Library — and then return the books to ABLE Library and receive a new batch.

Do you have a favorite genre or author?
Please let us know, as we may be able to request specific books for you.

Volunteers Needed!

Would you like to volunteer at Wilder Memorial Library?

Volunteers are vital to our library and help with a wide variety of tasks and services.

If you might be interested in helping out at the library, please send an email to the librarians with your contact information and areas of interest.

The minimum age for volunteering at the library is 13 years old, or at the discretion of the library director.

We want to be able to match volunteers with the things that interest you most, such as:

-checking books in & out for patrons
-reading aloud to children for story time
-keeping the stacks tidy & re-shelving books
-planning summer reading programming
-decorating & setting up for special events and holidays
-baking cookies for special events
-helping with fundraisers
-or a myriad of other fun projects that keep our library humming!
