Wilder Memorial Library Welcomes New Director, Faye Conte Mack
The Board of Trustees of Wilder Memorial Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Faye Conte Mack as the new Director of Wilder Memorial Library, effective Immediately.
“The Library Board is thrilled to welcome Faye to the Library,” said Deborah Granquist, Chair of the Board of Trustees.
“Her experience, creativity and passion for caring and community will help us build on the Library’s long tradition as a place where people of all ages come together to learn, connect, and belong.
Faye brings a strong background in community leadership, program development, non-profit advancement and community-building. She has dedicated her career to strengthening communities through equitable access to resources, education, and connection.
Faye possesses a deep commitment to literacy, life-long learning and community engagement and believes in the power of libraries to transform lives.”
“I’m honored to join the Wilder Memorial Library and to serve this wonderful community,” said Faye.
“Libraries are truly where community meets—and I look forward to working with the staff, trustees, and entire community to continue making this library a welcoming and inspiring place for all.”
Wilder Memorial Library, located in the heart of Weston, has served as a cornerstone of learning and community life since 1898 — offering books, digital resources, and programs for all ages, while fostering connection and creativity in the community.
Currently, the Library is located in the Old Parish Church while the 200 year old library building undergoes extensive renovations and a significant expansion. The expansion will provide more space for programming, collections, and community meetings. The new library is scheduled to open Spring 2025 – stay tuned for updates.

Faye will begin working at the Library location at the Old Parish Church. During the first couple of weeks she will be working along with Jessica Clapp, the Library’s most recent Director, to get oriented. Jessica has been a key figure at the Library since her arrival in March 2020, and is leaving her position to attend to family commitments. Jessica and Librarian Christine Mix, along with our recently hired Children’s Librarian, Shari Birdoff, have led the Library through change and growth over the past six years – from the trials of the pandemic to increasing the number of patrons, and providing interesting, fun and imaginative programming for all ages to the planning and ground breaking for our new library.
We look forward to Faye taking the helm to lead us into an exciting new future.
Stop by the library at Old Parish Church to meet Faye!

Children’s Librarian
“I’m delighted to join Wilder Memorial Library as the Children’s Librarian!”
“My intention is to weave nature, kindness and literacy into our children’s programs and services.
The library’s cozy Children’s Room is the perfect place to nurture reading and creativity. It’s an environment where children can develop a love of literature, learning, and community.
With thoughtfully-crafted programs, seasonal themes, nature-based events, and fun activities, our children’s offerings will be so special.
I can’t wait to serve the area’s children and families through the library!”
Shari Birdoff.
