Loving Presence – Nourish your Spirit
Mini Workshop with Rob Fisher at the Library
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.at Wilder Memorial Library
Tuesday, June 6
We live in some difficult times.
Here is a short workshop to nourish your spirit by becoming more loving to yourself and to those around you. Research shows that people who are more loving score higher on happiness scales. Here is an offering of a free mini workshop on building your own lovingness. Together we can create a world where there is greater kindness, generosity and loving presence. In this short time together we can look at what encourages you and supports you to be more loving to friends, family, our community, even yourself! We will explore what gets in the way and engage in practices that are designed to put you more in touch with your own loving nature that has often been covered up by the traumas and difficulties in life. We will use poetry and music, along with internal processes and times to share.
“I found, after almost a half century of teaching, that words are not as influential as experiences in changing the neural pathways that drive our lives and our relationships,” says Rob.
“Therefore, I won’t talk too much in this workshop, but will offer you poetry, music, very short talks and discussions mixed in with internal processes and sharing times. We will create a place of safety and kindness in which you can blossom a little bit.”Instructor: Rob Fisher, MFT is an author, international speaker, trainer and professor who moved to Weston a few years ago with his wife Ting ting and dog Wawa in order to be closer to nature. Rob teaches psychology, mindfulness and couples therapy to audiences in China, Japan, Bhutan, Ireland, Russia, Ukraine, India, Canada, Israel and even in the US! He is currently working on his third novel andthinking about a water buffalo for the family barn. For additional information: You can email Rob atwildtemple@aol.com.
