Book Sale Volunteers

We are looking for a small army of volunteers to help us with our Annual Book Sale! If you would like to volunteer, please contact (802) 824-4307 or director@wildermemoriallibrary.org. Below is a description of the volunteer positions we need help filling. Sign up to fill one or more!

 

Book Donation Pick Up & Delivery Chiefs

Description: Shuttling donated boxes of books from the library to the sorting barn. Occasional home pick up of book donations and delivery to the sorting barn.

Time Commitment: 2-3 Hours per week May through July

Number Needed: 2-4 volunteers

 

Box Kings or Queens

Description: Gathering used boxes from Clark’s IGA every Tuesday morning or Discount Beverage in Manchester and delivering them to the sorting barn.

Time Commitment: 1-2 Hour per week May through July

Number Needed: 2-4 volunteers

 

Book Sorter Ninjas

Description: Sorting through donated books, discarding smell and/or poor quality donations, consolidating books into boxes by genre. Occasionally taking discarded books to the transfer station.

Time Commitment: 2-4 Hours, once or twice week June through July

Number Needed: The more, the merrier!

 

Cashier Masters

Description: Working in teams at the check out table during sale days, answering customer questions, helping to keep books organized and properly displayed, clearing off empty boxes.

Time Commitment: One (or more!) 3 Hour shift on Book Sale days

Number Needed: 15+

 

Clean Up Crew

Description: Help to clean up the sale site after the sale ends. This involves breaking down boxes, folding and stacking tables, etc.

Time Commitment: One 2 Hour shift at the end of the Book Sale (may be Saturday evening or Sunday morning, time TBD)

Number Needed: The more the merrier!
